milkweed billows

like fine white hair

floating along

in the cool fall air

traveling along

i know not where

it does not know

i'm sitting here thinking

how i have been blessed

by my daughter Amy

she's simply the best

she's a gift, she's a challenge

now a new college grad

magna cum laude

she's totally rad

so... today was Stella's photo shoot with Amanda Bradshaw from frolic Photography for the book 1000 Pugs.  Amanda is traveling the country (and Canada) to photograph Pugs! Her Pug, Puglet was there to greet us when we arrived. He took a liking to Stella and was a bit ...amorous. We chatted with the other Pugs and their people until our turn. Boy, that Amanda really knows how to work a Pug! Stella seemed to enjoy her time with Amanda and by the end of the shoot she was even cooperating (with Stella I mean).  We loved it.  Here are some shots of the shots...

today I felt like...

first they're yellow 
then they're fluff 
along comes the mower
life is tough

i was feeling down and blue 

thought of things that i could Do 

like check other people's blogs

to see pictures of their dogs

or i could go out for a walk

see a neighbor, stop to talk

take some photos of the flowers

and then scrap away the hours

so i opened up my door

saw the sun and wanted more

walked a while and soon i knew

'twas just the thing to Do

as my gloom started to lift

the day became a gift

and all of nature's wonders

helped to pull me from out under

so if you're feeling blue

there are things that you can Do

i know that word is key

if you're feeling unhappy

if you can't Do it alone 

call me on your telephone

because i have been their too

without the strength to Do

but today i'm Doing better

so let's fight this thing together

Do not let depression win

because I love you, my dear friend!
