the floats were cool, 

the kids were cute,

the costumes were the bomb

but the groups 

that stole my heart ...

had fur, and tails, and paws

i probably won't

if you let me jump out

i probably will

'cuz i've never liked baths

and i feel that way still

when one is missing

there is a hole

in the love they give
unconditional and non-judgemental

when they are together

troy is quite smitten,

though she's a bit shy,

he pines at the window,

when he sees her walk by.

i don't know how she did it

but she thought that she looked fine

one leg was in an opening

they really didn't fit so bad
