wag your tail, it's wednesday

i'm trying not to bother you
but oh, i love you so
i just want your attention
but i don't let it show

i try not to attack you
when you come home at night
i wait until you're ready
and give me the green light

i try to stay outside your door
and not invade your space
but i cannot contain my love
so i come and lick your face

sometimes i am a bother
you have to walk and feed
and playing fetch is one thing else
i really, really, need

i'm trying hard to be
exactly what you want
but i'm a dog, i'm not a cat
so I can't act nonchalant

i love you with my whole self
from nose to tip of tail
no matter how you treat me
my love will never fail

a human's love can die
some loving feelings end
but no matter what may happen
dogs love you to the end

she thinks

she isn't like most others
she lives inside her head
perhaps because her early years
were often spent in bed

she didn't travel with her feet
she journeyed in her mind
just to entertain herself
and see what she might find

boredom does not plague her
when entertainment stops
she doesn't need nintendo
or to visit endless shops

all she has to do
is take a look around
observing in her mind
the connections she has found

following each one
to where it might arrive
the twists and turns she takes
make her journeys come alive

oh what will she become
from such a unique start
her ideas are her creations
her thoughts her form of art

i do not know the answers
but this i do convey
never stop envisioning
the world in your own way

wag your tail, it's wednesday

This part of a tail is from the Gulf Breeze zoo in Florida. You can feed many of the animals, consequently they come quite close to you. While we were stalking animals, they were stalking us. This turkey came up from behind Amy and surprised her, then followed us until the peacock took over. I guess they have a pecking order, ha ha!

Schools Kill Creativity

after viewing this video i wrote:

i wish i had unschooled you, all of your years
watching this video, brought me to tears
knowing how much, "real" school stole from my dears
and how much i missed, because of my fears
